We are now recruiting for a Customer Facing Applications Manager to join our Technology Services team for the EMEA & Oceania region, based in Stockholm.
This role will lead and be responsible for the customer facing applications that are commercially targeted meaning this will have a direct effect on customer success. This role will work closely with the Product Manager in Technology Services Americas and will support and be the implementation arm of visibility and end to end supply chain solutions.
This role requires strong communication skills, technical skills, and the ability to build teams to support projects. This role will directly be a success factor in securing revenue and growth as part of the organization’s strategic execution.
Regular travel is to be expected with this role.
Responsibilities
· Understand from the stakeholders the product/solution/application to be developed and the high-level features needed.
· Assist the Product Manager in determining release dates and cycle.
· Understand future product plans and technical roadmap
· Map any restrictions in terms of technologies to be employed
· Define internal and external systems with which the solution needs to integrate
· Understand and define the skills required in the team to develop the solution
· Determine tooling and standards/guidelines for code (application and integration)
· Determine and define QA routines.
· Create high level architecture ensuring solutions are flexible to cater to changing needs over the course of Sprints. Linking into overall portfolio and global architecture both external and internal.
· Engage with the Product Manager regularly to make sure both understand how the solution is going to be implemented towards external customers
· Assist in creation / provision of cost estimates and forecasting of projects as part of a commercial offering along with the Product Manager and Senior Business Leaders
· Take a pragmatic approach to arrive at a solution that fits both the business and the technical needs of the system. Be open for new ideas from both PO and developers.
· Take lead on the implementation phases of customer facing projects and ensure a proper agile team is ready
· Baseline project needs and ensure execution
Required Experience and Qualifications
· University degree within computer science or similar.
· 7 + years of experience with recent 3 years’ experience in “Hands On” Application Experience with hyper-cloud environments with Cloud data architecture and cloud integration
· Design & development of Application interfaces and reporting
· Experience with offshore units for design, estimation and delivery – with a collaborative and outcome-oriented approach
· In-depth knowledge of application development specifically Cloud deployments
· Overall knowledge and understanding of application design and development methods
· Experience with working with senior level business stakeholders
· Experience of working with customers’ technical teams to anchor solutions and project scope.
· At least 2 years’ experience of working on Azure Cloud
· Experience with migrating applications to Cloud, including architecture re-design
· At least 5 years’ experience of working with Integration, EDI, XML, API
· Experience of working with large OEM customers technology units
· Experience of driving projects
· Extensive knowledge in RoRo/Shipping industry
· Good knowledge of internal WalWil processes -in particular our logistics processes.
