WHO YOU ARE
Would you like to play a vital role in building up the future strategies of how we are meeting our customers and expand our business in existing and new markets? To be successful in this role we believe you have extensive Retail experience and you come with a background on general Store/SO management level. We see that you bring following:
• Extensive knowledge about customer fulfilment connected to retailing, how to increase visitation and sales, and how to meet our customers in the best way.
• Knowledge about market potential in existing and new markets
• Strong understanding of the Ingka Group strategies, priorities and strategic expansion planning process
Moreover, you have strong analytical skills and excellent understanding of customers’ and co-workers behavior and expectations connected to Customer Experience. You should also have the ability to build trustful relationships through understanding multicultural experience with a genuine interest in people.
You come with a great ability to take a strategic and holistic view of a global organisation and the capacity to identify and contextualise business opportunities accordingly. You are expected to have good leadership capabilities-ability to facilitate, inspire and motivate. You have ability to “find a way through” while working with ambiguous and complex topics and you get things done with speed and efficiency. As a person you have good judgement, an ability to prioritise, make sound and common-sense decisions and to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
You are going to take a leading role in Customer Meeting Point Development (CMP) projects, to secure delivery of measurable and scalable CMPs. Your focus will be on the CMP Development where your main targets will be on all aspects of customer fulfilment; including operations, service business, network, cost to serve and availability. Together with other Development Leaders you will also lead and participate in other parts of Expansion and CMP related initiatives. You will also support approved requests coming from the retail business relating to reviewing and improving processes, ways of working and organisational setup.
You will:
• Take a leading role in strategically developing IKEA CMP formats – the Store as well as new formats.
• Have responsibility to embed agreed organisational development principles, framework and methodology to achieve IKEA group objectives via partnering with the business.
• Have responsibility to secure that principles, framework and methodology are applied in strategic initiatives and in ways of working or organising, ensuring “right first time” for an optimal outcome for total IKEA
• Contribute to developing the business for example processes, new or enhanced tasks, strengthening competencies, designing new organisation setups etc.
• Assist the business to design organisational structures that contribute to reaching IKEA objectives, including how to organise and work in a simple, lean and cost-efficient way
• Contribute to the fulfilment stores project
• Coach and mentor to the market organisations in order to support understanding of the way to work with process and organisational development
• Lead positive change, and contribute to building a more unique, inclusive and accessible IKEA - guided by the People and Planet Positive commitments
In this role you will report to the Customer Meeting Point Development Manager and the role is located in Malmö, Sweden.

With the customer at the heart of everything we do, Group Expansion takes responsibility for strategic expansion planning enabling penetration of existing and new markets. We take the lead for business development of existing and new customer meeting points. We act on business needs and empower the markets to maximise accessibility, implement our retailing concepts and fully utilise our assets in the new world of IKEA – all at lowest cost, with economy of scale and sustained profitability.
