We are seeking a new Customer Meeting Point Planning Manager that will manage and lead the planning of architectural design of new Ingka Customer Meeting Points, other assets, rebuilds and development according to the Ingka Strategic Expansion Plan, based on the IKEA Concept.

To succeed in this role, you have a strong retail establishment and design background and preferably proven advanced training in Architecture (Master Degree of Architecture would be beneficial). You have extensive knowledge of architectural work and construction processes and have also gained knowledge of the Retail Establishment Process. We do also believe you have experience of leading a team and a proven track record of how to lead, coach, motivate and develop people. Throughout the years you have consequently gained excellent leadership skills and know how to manage change in a complex business environment. You have had responsibility for large projects and know how to initiate, plan and execute within a defined time frame, setting the direction, budget and create long-term goals. To succeed in this role, we further believe you have a growth mind-set and clearly can connect the above tasks to developing the business and people in a seamless and engaging way. Finally, you are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES
As an Architect Manager for Central Planning Hub, you will be accountable for leading the overall achievement of the people and business agenda for the department of Customer Meeting Point Planning (Architectural Design). As a member of the Central Planning Hub Management Team, you will secure operational excellence, performance and development of Central Planning Hub (CPH), including stakeholder management and communication.
More in detail, you will be:
· Accountable for leading architectural planning of new Ingka Customer Meeting Points and other assets from first ideas till readiness of final plans, based on the IKEA concept and Ingka requirements.
· Responsible to follow up on learning from projects to improve deliveries and competence
· Responsible for representing Ingka retail as a speaking partner to Core Business Franchise (CBF) in the store design process by coordinating input within Ingka, Inter IKEA Systems and external stakeholders as well as being accountable for the solid foundation creation to secure a well-functioning and profitable IKEA unit in an omnichannel landscape
· Accountable to lead architectural design work for Store in Shape As New (SISAN), rebuilds, and secure project realization by proper handover of the architectural design work deliverables (from pre-project into design phases)
· Securing project delivery within budget, quality, on time and aligned with latest solutions developed by Ingka functions and CBF
You will manage a team of architects and report to the Group Expansion Planning Hub Manager.

With the customer at the heart of everything we do, Group Expansion takes responsibility for strategic expansion planning enabling penetration of existing and new markets. We take the lead for business development of existing and new customer meeting points. We act on business needs and empower the markets to maximize accessibility, implement our retailing concepts and fully utilize our assets in the new world of IKEA – all at lowest cost, with economy of scale and sustained profitability.
