Northvolt has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Quality Engineer to join our bold team in Skellefteå.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will lead the transformation to a carbon free society.
We are continuously building a team of experienced Quality Engineers and great leaders with industry background.
You will be responsible ensure customer quality requirements are met during sampling, manufacturing and after end of production. The CQE is the quality representative in production and handles all quality related tasks.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Main interface to the customer regarding all quality topics during serial production
Leading and coordinating quality related topics during production including preparation of communication and documentation of meetings and results
Participating in production and project meetings
Interface and support development customer quality team for serial production line
Support qualification and sampling activities before serial production release
Lead communication and activities towards the customer for qualification and change management after initial serial production release as part of a cross functional team
Participate in lessons learned activities for mass production from new projects
Support PFMEA and control plan
Problem solving activities (8D) for customer claim and complaints

Skills & Requirements
Minimum Education / Experience Requirements
MSc degree in mechanical/chemical engineering or similar
Education in relevant quality discipline
Familiar with quality tools: FMEA, SPC, process capability, MSA, 8D
3+ years of relevant work experience in a customer quality function within high volume production
Experience with product qualification processes and process releases in the automotive industry
Specific training in the automotive Production Parts Approval Process
Knowledge and experience of applying IATF 16949:2016, VDA and ISO9001:2015
Additional skills (desired, but not required)
Six sigma training and hands-on experience
Knowledgeable in Lean and TQM
Project management skills and a successful track record of leading quality improvement and qualification projects in manufacturing
Experience in automotive Customer development process
Specific skills (eg specific programmes, languages, certifications etc)
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish or German is a plus
Highly organized and result-driven
Customer focused
Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to work in a high profile and often high-pressured international environment
