Responsibilities / Key Tasks - Frontline phone contact with Safmarine customers.Answers all customer inquiries regarding Export /Import cargo and facilitate resolution utilizing the system designed for the process.- Routinely performs coordination with internal and external agencies (sales, line management, dispatch, etc) to resolve issues in a timely manner.- Maintain contact with third party terminals and update systems as required.- Maintain proficiency in all required software programs necessary to provide quality customer service.- Manage and respond to all email and other system requests within the proper time frame as per the company's' goals and objectives - Review & input hazardous material declarations into systems to ensure compliance with IMO and Company policies.- Perform other job related duties as required - Making sure that invoices and outstandings are adhered to.Preferred candidates will have the following experience and skills - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to adhere to business processes and procedures.- Excellent problem resolution skills and creative thinking.- Must be a team player. Prefer 1 or more years transportation experience in operations or customer service.
