Fortum Recycling&Waste offers services related to environmental management and material efficiency in the Nordic countries. We improve our customers' material and energy efficiency by offering them recycling, reuse and disposal solutions as well as soil remediation and environmental construction services.
About the role
New battery technology is needed for the electrification of traffic and the production of electricity with the help of renewable energy. A carbon-neutral society relies on lithium batteries and the development of battery technology. Lithium-ion batteries contain valuable metals such as cobalt, manganese and nickel, the availability of which is scarce and demand will increase in the future. This sustainability problem is a challenge that we are involved in solving. With our innovative battery technology, we are able to recycle more than 80% of the materials in lithium-ion batteries.
We collect lithium-ion batteries from the industry that are at the end of their life cycle or are disposed of during production. We separate the precious metals from the batteries, process them into high-quality raw materials and return them to battery manufacturing.
As the demand and need for recycled metal are increasing, Fortum Recycling and Waste wants to be a part of the solution and offer our customers efficient end-to-end solutions for more efficient use of the earth's resources. With the intention of expanding our two business lines Metals and Battery Recycling, we are looking for a Customer service & Logistics coordinator to take out the daily tasks in supply chain operations for Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
