We are currently looking for Finnish-speaking Customer Technical Support for an exciting opportunity with our client Telia! This position offers a six-month assignment, with the possibility of an extension or over-recruitment. If you are a driven, service-minded individual with experience working in Linux, you could be the ideal candidate we are seeking!

About the department:

The division you will work in is responsible for the group´s work in promoting innovations within the company and finding ways to develop within the New Generation Telco.
The department handles cases within IOT and against Smart Public Transport (SPT), which includes new revolutionary technology in buses, trams, and trains, but also other vehicles and smart buildings.

About the role:

The role of technical support involves varied work with a focus on problem-solving. You will handle cases that come in, identify problems and solve them in e.g. the Linux operating system. In the role, you will communicate with business customers but also have daily contact with service technicians out in the field and with 2nd-line support if further troubleshooting is required. However, the vast majority of cases are resolved by the competent technical support.

Duties:

• Technically troubleshoot hardware and software programs
• Communicate with technicians, alternatively traffic management
• Carry out checks to find any problems in the various units
• Solve network problems
• Keep the customer up to date

About you:

To fit the role, you should have a strong interest in technology and be driven by solving support cases. You have a positive attitude, are willing to learn, and work in a structured way. Furthermore, you have the ability to solve complex problems and find solutions to them. You also put the customer at the center to provide the best possible service.

Experiences:

• Post-secondary education in IT
• You express yourself in Finnish and English, orally and in writing
• Experience of working in Linux
• Competences within networks

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of SQL
