As the mining industry now preparing for the fourth industrial revolution, we at ABB have decided to do the same, ABB has set high goals and a focused strategy for sustainable Mining Automation and Electrification. We are now hiring an expert and lead in research and development (R&D) for Customer & User Experience to help us develop and drive the next generation of the overall mine to port Customer & User Experience (CUX) strategy and roadmap.

Your responsibilities
Your main mission will be to drive the next generation of the overall mine to port Customer & User Experience strategy and roadmap, as well as feed this into our R&D portfolio and related R&D projects.
Contribute to successful product development results by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions based on solid customer and user research.
Collaborate and co-create with mining customers both in Sweden and abroad.
Support Product Management and R&D colleagues with customer and user experience values, needs and requirements.
Act as a role model with your background and behavior regarding customer and user-centered design and development, as well as design thinking and innovation.

This is a global role and you will collaborate with coworkers with other fields of expertise within the team.



Your background
A university degree and at least 7 years of work experience in related field.
Experience of leading other people, e.g. through project or line management.
Experience of working in the mining industry, is considered as a plus.
You are a curious person with strategic mindset that can see both the bigger picture and details.
You are innovative and have creative skills as well as customer focus approach.
As a true team player, you are communicative, collaborative and positive and thrive in a role where you can take initiative – all to contribute to our future success.
It is desirable that your life situation allows some flexibility, as the work can involve travel and overnight stays.
Since you will work in a global role, fluency in English is a must, both written and spoken alike, and since you will be located in Sweden, Swedish is an advantage.
