Arbetsbeskrivning
Sandvik Group Trade Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the company's practices conform to global import/export regulations. Our motto is enabling business!
When exporting goods over borders, both tangible and intangible , one has to take many interests into account: economic and political, as well as internal strategies and applicable laws.
As a ONE Sandvik initiative, and as a step towards decreasing corporate risk through increasing compliance, the customs operation in Sweden will be centralized. A new organization, residing in the Country Finance Organization, will be put in place, with the purpose of handling all import/export declarations. This will include working more strategically with customs, in order to increase quality and utilize possible duty refunds. We are now looking for an experienced Customs Expert to be based in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As a Customs Expert, you develop and implement procedures, processes and tools to meet national requirements in the area of customs. Sharing your expertise and best practice, you act as a link, proactively communicating and assisting different business areas within the region with regards to product classification, duty rates, free trade and customs documentation. You ensure continuous updating of knowledge and competency in the area of customs, as well as growth and development of the areas of expertise. You also act as an intermediary between country and group functions, and represent and monitor Sandvik's interests with customs authorities and interest organizations.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Management, Logistics, Engineering or another relevant field, with a background in customs. It is required that you have deep knowledge about Swedish customs laws and regulations and have formal education or certification in customs regulations. Excellent language skills in English and Swedish are prerequisite, in both speaking and writing.
We place great value on your personal qualities, characterized by being a self-motivated and effective communicator with strong attention to details, and by your strong will to continually improve your way of working. With a professional and service-minded attitude, networking comes easily to you, and you gladly interact with people at all levels of the organization. You like to follow defined procedures in structuring your work, put great pride in meeting deadlines, always evaluate information objectively and are proactive when it comes to problem solving.
We actively work to create a workplace that is characterized by diversity and inclusion.
