Customs IT Consultant
Customs is a world of rules and regulations that trading companies need to comply with, but which they also can benefit from.
Failure to do so may lead to supply chain disruptions, as goods can get stuck on border crossings, or that avoidable duties and taxes are paid, driving unnecessary costs. Interpreting real world data and scenarios against written regulations is mostly left for human judgement. Now, we are building the next generation trade facilitation and advisory service, powered by data driven processes and interpretations.
We are looking for an IT-generalist with a genuine interest in understanding the businesses and processes that technology can support, or even drive. We are looking for a person who can unlock complexity and provide clarity that is of use and value for our clients. Their challenge is to be compliant, and to avoid unnecessary costs.
Your challenge it to help them accomplish that, through utilization of computer power and through understanding how IT can enable novel solutions. We have a landscape of platforms and solutions. You can define how we build from that.
You are a generalist, not only when it comes to technical skills, but also on your ability to work both on high and low level. At least, you can speak the language of either level. And what you have not experienced before: you dare, you try, you learn and you grow.
We do not require that you already have knowledge about customs, but we expect curiosity and learnability. An eagerness to find solutions to problems. A strong will to work close to our professionals and customers.
You can expect complex challenges that will engage you for long. But you can also expect small and limited cases with short deadlines, where your hands-on skills and target orientation will be the critical link. Where there is little room for prestige, and ”good enough” means success.

- Data analysis, requirement specification, business process mapping and reengineering, experience of blockchain technology, programming, experience from ERP systems, awareness of change and project management.
- A relevant academic track record.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Professional level in english, both written and spoken. A third language also adds to our interest.
- Location in either Gothenburg or Stockholm.
