DFDS successfully expanded its customs activities during 2021-2022 and has set an ambitious target for future growth. To drive that growth, we now seek a commercially driven person with strong leadership skills to head our Customs Department in Gothenburg, Sweden.
About the role
In the role as Customs Manager Sweden, you are responsible for our Customs team and the day-to-day operations. You make sure that your team's assignments and our customers are handled correctly and on time in accordance with current legislation, internal- and external routines and processes. You are responsible for following up existing customers ensuring that DFDS customers are provided with the highest quality of service. Together with the sales organization you safeguard the implementation of new customers and take the operational responsibility for the customers.
Our customs offering span across more than 15 DFDS locations in 10 different countries, and you will become part of a strong network of customs colleagues with great operational and commercial experience.
You will be part of the local management team and you will lead an ambitious Customs team of 9-10 persons. The position is located in Gothenburg, and you will report to Managing Director, DFDS Logistics AB.

About you

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:
Experienced in Swedish and EU Customs administration, law, regulations, and policies from applying for Customs Licenses, AEO (Authorized Economic Operator), and Customs Operations reporting
Fluent (written and verbal) in Swedish and English
Ability to work in a strong local team backed by a large and complex international organisation with a large network of diverse colleagues
Proficient standard in IT skills including D365 ERP, MS Office, and reporting and management tools to create reports, proposals and evaluations
