Cyber Security Engineer – Battery Management System

At Volvo Group Trucks Technology, we are currently looking for Cyber Security Engineer to join the Energy Storage System Functions & BMS group.

The ESS functions and BMS group is responsible for development and function design of ESS & battery management system used in all Volvos’ electric products, such as, busses, trucks, construction equipment, and marine applications. Organizationally we belong to Electromobility, which was formed to be in the forefront of environmentally friendly transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.
The Electromobility department combines the benefits of a large international company with the feeling of working at a small company. There is close collaboration between different parts of the organization from sales and purchasing to workshops and labs all located in the modern, inspiring facility CampX.

Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to be a team player with strong collaboration/networking skills and have an analytic mindset of a true problem solver. You also need to be open-minded, self-motivated, and meticulous with independent critical thinking in your problem-solving approach. You have experience from Cyber Security in automotive industry, system development, software development with great attitude and willingness to learn and take more responsibility with time in practical automotive applications.
You have worked with identification and management of cyber security risks and development of security requirements including monitoring and detection of cyber security attacks.
In addition, we believe you have the following:
Master of Science in control systems, mechatronics, electrical engineering, signal processing, or engineering physics.
Experience from Battery Management System different functions both hardware and Software
Understanding of upcoming Cyber Security regulations (UNECE R155) and standards (ISO/SAE 21434 Road vehicles — Cybersecurity engineering)
Experience from performing TARA analysis
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
