At Enterprise IT Security, we are on a mission to secure the IT journey for the Volvo Group. We work closely together with stakeholders across several Business Areas (BAs), Truck Divisions (TDs), and Group Functions (GFs). While the BAs drive the business, the TDs provide research, development, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly. Within Volvo Group, the GFs own the Group agenda, provide strategic direction, and have global responsibility in group-wide functions such as IT, legal, compliance, and security.
With Enterprise IT Security, you will be part of Group Digital & IT (Group Function). A global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who work passionately, trust each other, and embrace change to stay ahead. Enterprise IT Security works closely with Group Security and security functions within TDs, Bas, and GFs. Together we work to build a security posture that is best in class.
Role Description
In this role, you will:
Conduct research and identify technologies to address capability gaps for emerging cyber threats, attack methods, and evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures
Integrate new architectural analysis of cyber security features and relate existing systems to future needs and trends
Enable advanced detection and response capabilities to intelligence and research teams, and provide engineering recommendations
Consult leadership with the decisions related to business processes, security controls, policies and standards, regulations, and investment prioritization, including the communication to the line of business on the inherent risks and providing meaningful hardening and mitigation strategies
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals, including managers, clearly articulate solutions, and hand off operational tasks promptly, sit on committees, and interface with architects, leaders, and intelligence teams to share results and capabilities
Work closely with the Volvo Group Cyber Security intel, research, and detection team to create, support, and promote automation and infrastructure solutions that can help detect and respond to external risk
Lead the research, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of the most complex computer network security and protection technologies for company information and network systems and applications
Critical Competencies
Good communication, presentation, and organization skills
Excellent writing skills
Ability to articulate research findings into a proper business case.
Process design, KPI development and tracking, and risk management
Deep understanding and practical experience with cyber threat prevention and detection capabilities and new trends in the domain.
Ability to establish and maintain good relations and trust with your internal and external partners/stakeholders
Must be able to identify and resolve complex problems in a structured way
Willingness to learn, know and understand Volvo Group security policies, directives, and requirements
