Job Description


The Cyber Security team is embarking on a mission of rapid maturity and require a highly motivated and talented Cyber Security Specialist to help guide us on this journey.


The Cyber Security team operates out of Stockholm and is one of the responsible teams for securing Kindred Group and its assets. We are searching for that certain someone who is not satisfied in just knowing common standards and frameworks, but instead likes to understand vulnerabilities, the exploitability, how to think like the adversary, and most importantly how to defend against them. You should have a real personal passion for security (across a broad range of domains), technology and insatiable lust to develop further as a Cyber Security Specialist (both technically and generally).


If you are a developer with a strong security passion or a security professional with a developer background. This role is perfect for you.
The Cyber Security team is part of Group Security which contains 3 teams (Cyber Security, CSIRT and Information Security).


What you will be doing?


You will be the first line of contact for security advisory towards our engineering teams
Work closely with our engineering teams to make sure that security is considered in each development phase
Perform security architecture reviews
Work with the relevant teams to help remediate security vulnerabilities and findings
Implement a secure mindset into the engineering teams
Lead technical threat modelling exercises in collaboration with the engineering teams
Perform Application Security Training for our engineering teams
Help out with implementing and enforcing new security controls and guidelines
Help maturing and drive our product security area forward



Your Experience


Strong development experience in Java and/or JavaScript
A strong cyber security interest
A good understanding of OWASP Top 10
Strong people skills
Able to work independently and as part of the team
Worked within an Agile environment
Able to engage well with technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent communication skills and native English, both verbal and written
