We, at Enterprise IT Security, are on a mission to secure the IT journey for the Volvo Group. We work closely together with stakeholders across several Business Areas (BAs), Truck Divisions (TDs), and Group Functions (GFs). While the BAs are responsible for driving the business, the TDs provide research, development, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly. Within Volvo Group, the GFs own the Group agenda, provide strategic direction, and have global responsibility in group-wide functions such as IT, legal, compliance and security.

With Enterprise IT Security, you will be part of Group Digital & IT (Group Function). Enterprise IT Security (EITS) works in close collaboration with both Group Security function and security functions within TD’s, BAs and GFs. Together we work to build a security posture that is best in class.

Job Description:

As a Principal AI Architect on our cyber security team, you will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing AI solutions that enhance our security posture and align with Volvo's strategic goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable AI architectures, drive AI adoption, lead novel AI security research projects, and ensure the successful deployment of AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of AI architectures and solutions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into AI strategies.
* Steer enterprise AI adoption with a deep understanding of the EU AI Act and relevant regulations.
* Oversee the implementation of AI models and algorithms.
* Ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of AI systems.
* Mentor and guide junior AI engineers and data scientists.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and cyber security technologies.
* Foster academic AI research partnerships with a high level of engagement.
* Drive innovation, security, and continuous improvement in AI practices.


Qualifications:

* University degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in AI architecture, AI agent systems, and solution design.
* Strong knowledge of LLMs, neural networks, deep learning, federated learning, and tool-calling.
* Ability to evaluate models against exploits such as prompt injection, data poisoning, and exfiltration.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Mojo, or GoLang.
* Experience with AI frameworks and tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, Vllm, Ray, or Nims.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
