Cybersecurity Area Lead - Technology Development

We are now strengthening our global Cybersecurity team as part of SKF’s global Research & Development organization (SKF Technology Development). This role is focused on security for our customer facing solutions and applications as well as making sure security is considered throughout development. As Information Security Lead you will work with multiple stakeholders across SKF ensuring security long-term as well as providing hand-on support when required. You will be part of Digital Engineering, which includes around 150 people in total and has a driving role in the digital transformation of SKF.

What you will do
As Cybersecurity Area Lead you will ensure security for applications and solutions together with product development and operation teams. With your expertise and insights you will contribute to improving the information security awareness in SKF. Further you will:


Ensure compliance of ISO 27K for all our areas within SKF Technology Development
Define internal standards for secure development and operation of our products and services based on ISO 27K and customer expectations
Be the interface towards other security functions and stakeholders of SKF and represent in key programs/initiatives
Coordinate and prioritize activities within the Cybersecurity team
Identify and analyse security vulnerabilities as well as their risk in our solutions
Collaborate with key stakeholders on remediation strategies and provide guidance
Accompany and supervise post incident activities (including lessons learned) for systems and applications within our domain
Support the business with regional customization of solutions ensuring security
Support pre-sales discussions with customers around cybersecurity
Facilitate trainings in Information and Cybersecurity across SKF Technology Development
Proactively keeping up with the latest technologies is part of your role




Who are we looking for
Several years of experience within the Information Security field and Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science/IT engineering
Knowledge and experience in cloud security, platforms, and services (preferably AWS)
Knowledge and experience of working with different standards and legislations like ISO 27001, GDPR or other privacy regulations
Knowledge and experience in threat modeling and secure development
Professional facilitation skills and communication skills in English
Professional ability to engage with others and experienced in building relationships
Efficient leadership capabilities and capability to plan and organize different activities
Experience from Agile ways-of-working is meritorious
Open to travel if needed for specific activities

Additional information
Location: This position will be located preferably in Gothenburg, Sweden, or in one of the main SKF sites in Europe. Local contract.

You will be part of a global team with Cybersecurity Engineers and System Architects working different departments in the Technology Development organization. The position will require frequent collaboration and networking via Teams, telephone, and e-mail. Occasional travelling may be necessary.

You will report to the Manager - Architecture & Cybersecurity in Digital Engineering.
