The Connected Experience organization within R&D includes Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment Platform, Applications and Data & Diagnostics. Our vision and strategy are to maximize the attractiveness of owning and using a Volvo, make all cars connected and provide a continuously enhanced experience for both new and existing cars. 

Our Agile Release Train (ART) Car Cloud Platform mission within the Department Car Cloud Platform and Remote Functions is to enable cloud services globally to contribute to the overall connected experience. We build, provide, and operate a highly secure run-time ecosystem for functions and applications serving our connected cars, and their users. We aim to optimize functional and organic growth by using standard cloud technologies with high level of synergies and re-use. With our car cloud solution, we provide cloud infrastructure, platform core & services to support software development lifecycle (DevOps) by providing tools for fast feedback & built-in quality.

What you will do
The Cybersecurity Leader role will focus on supporting implementation of new cloud functionality together with the Agile development teams in close co-operation with the Agile Product Manager and Architects. As an IT Security Leader you will also use your expertise and experience to mentor and coach colleagues, understand the security and privacy goals of the organization and provide technical risk based security trade-offs concerning systems, functions, modules, components, interfaces and capability areas. You will also work in close liaison with car development and security specialists within.

To name a few, you will serve as a subject matter expert for AWS and Kubernetes security best practices. You will work with System Architects, to develop, analyze and realize the implementation of security features. You will perform IT security reviews and risk assessments of Connected Car solutions. You will participate in planning and security design of the program content and explore alternatives. You will contribute to the security strategy for Volvo Cars Connected Cars. You will also promote security principles like Defense in-depth, Secure by Default and Least Privileges.

You and your background
In order for you to fully enjoy this job we think that you have ideas on how the team can deliver secure functionality implemented on up to date IT architecture and software. Your focus is technical security rather than process and policy and you have 10-15y experience from the area of IT security.

You would carry a BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience. You would also be fluent in the English language both spoken and in writing.

There are a number of implementation technologies and security frameworks that you should be familiar with, such as,
* WS, Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio
* Jira, GitLab, GitHub
* Maven, GitOps, GoCD, Flux CD, Spinnaker, Argo CD
* OpenIdConnect. Oauth2
* x509
* OWASP SAMM
* Risk based approach
* Logging, Monitoring solutions
* Security Infrastructure

When it comes to personal qualities, you would bring leadership skills with the ability to bring people together to achieve our ambition and reveal their potential. You bring efficient and effective communication skills with the ability to share ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner to both technical specialists and people without technical knowledge. You bring strong collaboration skills, along with a structured and analytical way of taking on tasks and performing on a daily basis in a result oriented way.
