Cybersecurity Technical Specialist

What we offer

To mitigate the threats presented to a connected autonomous vehicle, we have a solid foundation of competence within our very dedicated Cybersecurity and Privacy team. You will become a member of an agile development team with great team spirit. Volvo Cars have a holistic approach to the extended vehicle Cybersecurity and privacy, spanning the complete vehicle lifecycle, involving technology for protection and detection, as well as threat intelligence and incident response. Due to your contributions to the area, you will be recognized as an important player in the Cybersecurity field.
We are now looking for an Automotive Cybersecurity and Privacy Technical Specialist. If you have a passion for Cybersecurity in embedded system and are inspired by our mission to give our customer a better car experience every day, then keep reading!
What you’ll do
As a Technical Specialist you have the following roles and responsibilities:
• Own a documented Vision, Mission, Strategy and Cycle plan within the area of Product Cybersecurity
• On an annual basis make a Benchmark report covering competitors, suppliers, authorities, etc.
• Deliver applications for research and innovation projects which are co-financed by the authorities and drive research work to define New Requirement Specifications and Corresponding Verification/Validation Method.
• Secure Technology Readiness by Initiating and supervise Advanced Engineering and EU projects, support concept studies and securing succession by proactively provide mentoring, coaching, etc
• Advice line and project management in technical matters from the point of view "What is best for Volvo Cars" proactively providing engineering guidance and supporting in contacts with suppliers and with authorities in legal matters.
• Be recognized as a go-to person
• Deliver education material and carry through education within the area of Product Cybersecurity
• Proactively participate in standardization work
• Develop and maintain relations with universities through supervision of doctorate programs, thesis works etc.
• Proactively participate in seminars, conferences and conventions.
You and Your Skills
We expect you to have:
• Min B.Sc. or equivalent based on work experience. Cybersecurity education and certifications are highly meritorious.
• You have demonstrated personal contribution in development of cybersecurity solutions/technologies/processes and preferably a recognized leadership in cybersecurity projects/tasks.
• You have leveraged external resources, including universities and industry consortia and have been a "go to" person for cybersecurity questions.
• Demonstrated capability and willingness to teach/coach/mentor and document technical knowledge have a high level of communication and teamwork skills.
• Cited scientific publications would be meritorious
