Data Analysis Engineer, Active Safety

The group Active Safety Functions Analysis and Verification within the Active Safety department is responsible for the verification of customer functions related to Active Safety. This includes functionalities such as Collision Mitigation by Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Aid and Evasive Maneuver Assist. The group also play a vital role in the work towards fully autonomous driving vehicles in the Drive Me project, an area of fast development using new technology, which put high demands on comprehensive and efficient verification processes.
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Analysis Engineer who wants to be a part of developing the safest cars possible. Your daily work will be in a cross functional development and verification team, where you will design, plan and perform tests using virtual environments and vehicles, for both development testing in early project phases as well as complete function verification during the final project phase. Tests will be performed both at proving grounds as well as on public roads around the world. You will cooperate with other teams and project management in current and future research projects to develop new test methods, test objects, automate tests and execute the verification needed for quality products with world class technology.
Main responsibilities
* Carry out sensor verification in virtual and physical environments
* Design test and verification methods both virtual and physical with corresponding tools for analysis
* Take part in and plan verification activities
* Take part in function requirement design and analysis of function requirements as well as customer requirements
* Analysis and benchmark of competitors
* Support Advanced Engineering activities related to Active Safety and Autonomous Driving
* Write test reports and present progress reports in vehicle projects
* Be a part of the future innovations of Active Safety technology
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. degree within Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent experience
* Experience in development, verification, and analysis of sensor functions
* Knowledge and experience in Matlab and Simulink
* Drivers licence B, valid in Sweden and adequate driving experience
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Experience in working with Active safety and Autonomous Driving functionality is meritorious
* ISO 26262 knowledge is meritorious
* Experience of vehicle and CAE based testing is meritorious
* Knowledge of tools and concepts within the automotive industry such as: CANalyzer, CAN, FlexRay, Autosar is an advantage
