Arbetsbeskrivning
At Rovio you will get to work with multiple groundbreaking IP’s including one of the most famous game IP’s in the world: Angry Birds! We craft joy with player-focused gaming experiences that last for decades. In order to do that, we know that people need to bring their own joy to what we do. That’s why we value work-life balance, say no to crunch culture, and welcome people from all walks of life to join the flock. Today, we are a proud team of 500+ caring and talented professionals representing over 50 different nations.
We trust our teams to work autonomously by providing them the right tools and level of responsibility. We believe in our teams to remain creative and to keep learning – as well as ensuring everyone has opportunities for personal growth.
Rovio's Stockholm Studio is the studio behind the hugely popular Angry Birds 2, the bigger, badder and birdier sequel to the global phenomenon Angry Birds. The studio is dedicated to making the Angry Birds 2 game experience ever more exciting for players, developing continual improvements, as well as running world class live ops every day.
We are now looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our studio and support the game team with analytics around the game’s growth and User Acquisition but not limited to the marketing scope. Coming into this role, you will build an understanding of the game, players and different business levers and use that knowledge to help the team build new game features, optimise existing ones and structure vague problem statements in collaboration with stakeholders such as product manager, designers, producers, and UA managers.
What your days will look like:
Spending most of your time as a senior analyst in a game project collaborating with Marketing Professionals to improve our UA creatives and optimise our campaigns
Evaluating and understanding the quality of our players and user acquisition activities to recommend optimised ROI strategies
Designing experiments and creating dashboards and reports
Coaching and sharing best practices between colleagues in the data craft and whole game teams
Designing and running in-game experiments and helping the team to find options leading to better game monetization performance and our audience satisfaction
What we think is needed to thrive in this role:
Highly proficient in SQL
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R
Solid understanding of statistics
Experience in product analysis and experiments design (A/B testing, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Presentation and collaboration skills and ability to present data and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Prio experience in mobile app marketing and user acquisition will definitely help you become productive quicker but is not an absolute must
Recruitment process:
First meeting: You will meet the TA Partner to get acquainted and learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role
Call with a Hiring manager: We will deep dive into your skills and background and also discuss what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role
Assignment: We’d like to learn more about your hard skills through a relevant take home task, which takes a few hours
Technical interview: We will invite you to present the assignment results to your colleagues in the Data Craft for an in-depth conversation
Final round: You will meet the Game Marketing team that you will be supporting. Our aim is to get a clear overview of your collaboration and communication skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
