If you are the kind of person who believes the answers are found in data. If a love relationship with data also extends to spreading the word on Data Culture; then hello there! Blocket is looking for you. We are convinced it's a match made in data heaven (all our analytics services in the cloud. Pun intended!). We can offer huge amounts of data to work with. 5 million users every week contribute to an endless supply of data and insights. Every week, every day, all year long. Your mission, together with the rest of the Insight & Analytics team, is to collaboratively drive a data-first culture across Blocket. With such a mission we contribute to endless opportunities for everyone while at the same time reducing the carbon footprint for the people of Sweden. That is creating WOW!
We are Blocket, Sweden’s largest and most popular marketplace with around 12,3M monthly active users generating over 100 million sessions. We are proud of our impact on second-hand trade in Sweden, enabling more sustainable ways of shopping. Want to get a feel of the Blocket vibe? Check us out on Instagram & LinkedIn and read more on Begagnateffekten!
What you’ll be up to In the Insight & Analytics team you will analyze transactional, user behavior and traffic data to manage our performance, drive our development of products and features and inform decision making. In short - make sure we can grow our marketplace based on data. As a Data Analyst, you will support and work closely in cross-functional teams with colleagues from Finance, Product, UX/Design, Marketplaces and Developers - pretty much everyone. We contribute and work close to the heartbeat of our Business. You will perform analysis on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions across the business - in discovery and ideation work. Since we are an essential part of almost everything going on in Blocket, being very infectious with your data driven mindset is key to keep all parts of Blocket aligned. Since Blocket has a wide variety of products with a massive reach among the Swedish people (remember - 5 million each week!) your work will have a direct impact on how our users do second-hand business, while creating a more sustainable world. What a win-win-win situation! In this role you will get the opportunity to work with extra focus on the Motor marketplace, among everything else, where all kinds of vehicles are bought and sold B2C and C2C. You do not have to be the car enthusiast in order to love the role - but being a data nerd however, is a must.
Who you are You have experience from taking an active role in projects, guiding the rest of the project team through analytical approaches and combining it with a strong business sense. You have experience from the Data Science field in general, i.e. Statistics, Data Wrangling, Descriptive analysis, Data Visualization and Experimentation. As a person, you find it easy to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders regardless of domain knowledge. You take pride in communicating data and insights in an appetizing and visual way, as well as have a flair for switching between details vs. overview to navigate the fairly complex business landscape. To put it bluntly; you see the business in data! We let our values guide us on our journey by collaborating, taking responsibility, being brave, moving fast and creating a lot of WOW along the way. With your knowledge of how to turn vast amounts of data into actionable and inspiring insights - you will take our understanding of marketplace user behaviour to the next level.

Hello there, I am now leaving! I am Andreas and I have been working at Blocket as a Data Analyst for the last 3 years and I’m now moving to new challenges within Schibsted. There are many positive things with working in the Insight & Analytics team at Blocket. The colleagues are really passionate about what they do and there is a very collaborative and helpful culture within the team. I also like the strong collaboration that we have with other teams within Blocket, not least the product teams. This collaboration with the other teams gives a very good overview of the business and enables our insights to strongly influence the development of the business and products. Apropos big impact, I really appreciate as a data analyst to be able to work with such a strong brand that has so many users which means loads of fantastic data.
Personally, I have been focusing mainly on the Motor part of our business, Blocket Motor and Bytbil.com, helping both enthusiasts and first time buyers get a vehicle as well as helping professionals and private sellers sell their vehicles more conveniently. And the good thing is that Blocket has so many categories, brands and features which makes it easy to find something that you really like to dig into.
Hi, I am your new manager!
My name is Lukas and I’ve been with Blocket for 3+ years. I’ve worked in analytical and data related roles through my entire career, although the contexts have changed over the years. My goal as a manager is to create the best possible contentions for the team to thrive. I try to keep a personal touch in my leadership, strive for a transparent and feedback oriented culture. Honestly, I don’t spend as much time “hands-on” with data as I would like, but when I do - I enjoy it immensely. When I’m not working I try to spend as much time as I can with my family (4 daughters and wife) but try to squeeze in as much time on my skateboard/snowboard or in the saddle exploring the unpedaled roads on my bike. I do bring out the guitar for birthdays and live music quizzes, motivation rather than talent though. Come join our team, it will be loads of fun! :)
