What you'll be up to:
In the Insight & Analytics team you will analyze transactional, user behavior and traffic data to manage our performance, drive our development of products and features and inform decision making. In short - make sure we can grow our marketplace based on data.
For this particular role we’re searching for someone who is keen on working with a wide variety of products across the whole organization, is comfortable with working independently and has a drive to spread a data-driven mindset. You will work within the Marketplace Foundations Area and since this is a new role in the organization you will take an active part in shaping it from the start.
As a Data Analyst, you will support and work closely in cross-functional teams with colleagues from Finance, Product, UX/Design, Marketplaces and Developers - pretty much everyone. We contribute and work close to the heartbeat of our Business. You will perform analysis on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions across the business - in discovery and ideation work. Since we are an essential part of almost everything going on in Blocket, being very infectious with your data driven mindset is key to keep all parts of Blocket aligned.
Since Blocket has a wide variety of products with a massive reach among the Swedish people (remember - 5 million each week!) your work will have a direct impact on how our users do second-hand business, while creating a more sustainable world. What a win-win-win situation!
Skills & Requirements
Who you are
You have experience from taking an active role in projects, guiding the rest of the project team through analytical approaches and combining it with a strong business sense. You have experience from the Data Analytics field in general, i.e. Digital Analysis, Descriptive analysis, Data Visualization and Experimentation. As a person, you find it easy to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders regardless of domain knowledge. You take pride in communicating data and insights in an appetizing and visual way, as well as have a flair for switching between details vs. overview to navigate the fairly complex business landscape.
To put it bluntly; you see the business in data! We let our values guide us on our journey by collaborating, taking responsibility, being brave, moving fast and creating a lot of WOW along the way. With your knowledge of how to turn vast amounts of data into actionable and inspiring insights - you will take our understanding of marketplace user behaviour to the next level.
Background/skills
5+ years of experience in a similar role within the field of data analysis, digital or user behaviour analysis or a similar quantitative discipline
Experience of Digital Analysis tools (we use Google Analytics and Google Data Studio)
Experience and skills in querying data with SQL (we use Exasol today and Snowflake tomorrow)
Experience of visualization tools (we use Tableau)
Bonus
Experience with designing and interpreting A/B tests
Experience working with data collection and tracking tools (Google Analytics Tag Manager)

My name is Monika and I've been at Blocket for 2 years now. I'm working closely with Generalist Area, focusing mainly on analysis of our Marketplace, seller journey and shipping solutions we offer. In my role I also strive to create best possible conditions for Data Analysts, support prioritization and try to remove any operational obstacles in daily work.
I have been working with data analysis for about 10 years now in various industries and departments - from sales analysis in FMCG to BI development in Fintech. I graduated as a mathematician and am still fascinated by how a theoretically complex and tedious area has developed into a fascinating and value adding field throughout the years!
When not working, I'll probably be out somewhere running or cycling long distances, travelling around the world (well, hopefully soon again) or enjoying a book and a cup of coffee.
