You will have the opportunity to do lot of analysis and system development work as well as work within a broad circle of contacts, both within and outside of Volvo Cars.
Environmental regulations and expectations are expanding worldwide, and data management is becoming more important. There are many challenges to face in the near future and we therefore need to strengthen our Environmental data team.
Our scope is primarily data handling within IMDS (International Material Data System), Sustainable materials, Substances of concern, Recyclability and LCA.
What you’ll do
In the role as Data Analyst your main responsibilities would be:
• To analyse and report environmental data, including homologation and legal compliance.
• Work with continuous improvements of our processes and our data handling
• To manage and program databases and scripts.
Additionally, you would participate in System Operational Development projects, as well as working with IMDS communication, support and training, internal as well as external VCC. Another very important task would be to work with our IT department to move our legacy solution to a modern way of working
Do you fit the profile?
To be a fit for this role you have a university degree or equivalent experience from years of practice, preferably within data Science. You have experience from, and major interest in, effective data management, data analytics and AI as well as database- and programming knowledge from programs such as Jupyter Notebook and Python.
We are looking for someone who possess strong analytical skills and ability to structure data and information. You are willing and curious about developing a T-shaped profile by expanding your knowledge into one or more specializations. In our team we deal with English speaking parties, so you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience or knowledge in environmental science, chemistry or material/substances is meritorious.

For this role you need to be able to keep attention to details as well as keeping a holistic view. Your analytical capability makes it possible for you to manage a large amount of complex data and your cooperation and communication skills make you a great team player!
