The section Engine Control Function (NEF) are responsible to provide our customers with engine control systems for superior performance, efficiency and uptime through an inclusive and agile culture that promotes innovation.

​​​​​​​We continuously deliver advanced engine control systems that meet progressively tightened requirements on emissions, uptime and performance.

You will be part of a team responsible for developing SW for controlling the fuel system, including control, diagnostics and calibration. But your work as a data analyst will be assisting the entire section working with control systems for both engine and aftertreatment.

Your role:
Your future role will involve:


• Knowledge about the different OBD monitors that we are responsible for. (Physics behind the affected components, SW framework, IUMPR, etc.)
• Introducing KPI as a method to analyse operational data
• Taking an active role in representing our section in different collaborations

• Making sure necessary variables are logged
• Assisting with operational and field test design to meet our requirements for SW development and/or verification
• Cross functionally coordinating our needs with tool development and support groups


• Developing tools which facilitate a high-level overview of monitor performance
• Digitalization: Taking an active role in improving data analysis tools and processes by looking for best practices

This is a newly created role, which will require you to continuously develop processes and ways of working in order to achieve the list above. For a person with the right ambition and innovative skills you have a big opportunity to help us make Scania’s product even better!

Your profile:
We believe that you have an engineering background, with relevant courses in for example statistics, probability theory and machine learning. You also have a few years of working experience from the automotive industry within powertrain development.

You are driven and passionate about developing this role and finding solutions for both short and long term. You are good at working independently. You also have great communication and collaborative skills since a major part of the work will be cross functional collaboration with others.
