Data Analyst – SQL developer to Siemens Financial Services, Umeå

About the role

As Data Analyst at Siemens Financial Services (SFS), you will be part of the Nordic Data Analytic team within the Financial Planning & Analysis function with focus on the ongoing Contract Management System (CMS) project. You act as the Data Analyst in the Data Reporting workstream with focus to build SQL data sources and data flows. You work closely with the Business Analysts, and the central and local project management team to ensure Nordic reporting requirement is captured.

The Challenge

• Data Warehouse: Overall control and ownership of building databases within new Contract Management System and new DW by using SQL. Monitoring, reporting, and meeting milestones and deliverables for Nordic CMS project implementation. Furthermore, be partly involved and support transition to new Data Cloud DW.

• Relationship management: Understand and embrace the requirements and expectations of all stakeholders globally and locally, ensure being a respected partner & colleague for global and local project teams. Using effective involvement strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions. Creating and driving influencing strategies.

• Ownership: Be proactive in identifying issues & opportunities, ensure its ownership and facilitate its resolution/development in a timely and efficient manner.

• Engagement: Be on top of all developments within the project including technical topics / platform / process issues etc. Be active in major areas and positively drive the project forward. Developing and leveraging relationships within/ across teams/ work groups to achieve results.

Main responsibilities include:

·       Responsible to develop and manage SQL databases

·       Supporting the transition to new Cloud base DW (Data Warehouse)

·       Document processes, workflows, and data sources

·       Support wider CMS project with solutions for best practice reporting

·       Close collaboration between other workstreams in the project

·       Understand and document alternative reports depending on business needs and data capacity in the new DW

·       Find alignment, review CMS ODS mapping, and other applications data sources

·       Be support to Business Analyst

·       Increasing our efficiency and productivity by automating and digitizing current manual reports and tasks in all functions
