We are now looking for a highly motivated and creative test engineer/data analyst to strengthen our battery testing team.

About

Our team, Battery pack and vehicle testing, is responsible for testing the energy storage on the scale from complete battery packs to full vehicle. We plan and execute tests and analyze results in order to ensure that the batteries fulfill the requirements connected to the performance and life targets we need to achieve to continue be a leader within commercial vehicles. The tests include functional and performance tests as well as safety and abuse. The majority of the testing is performed in-house in our new state-of-the-art battery lab.

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and data management skills. Long experience within complex rig testing such as engine, transmission or any kind of abuse testing is also a good background. You understand the nature of experimental work and enjoy working with hardware with a strong understanding about the underlying physics that you are testing. The test objects, the battery packs, are highly complex with built-in intelligence and diagnostics so a good understanding or experience from working with embedded systems is of merit. You like to take on large data sets and analyze the content and condense it to neat graphs that you happily share and discuss with your team members and stakeholders.

MSc or PhD within vehicle, mechanical or electrical engineering or other relevant discipline.


• Experience from advanced data analysis and data visualization is highly meriting, preferably in Matlab
• Experience from rig automation systems such as LabView, Puma or other is highly meriting
• Experience in Metrology "the science of measurement” is meriting
• Experience from embedded systems development are meriting
• Good knowledge of English is a requirement, knowledge of Swedish and German is meriting

Your tasks

As a test engineer and data analyst in this team, part of your role is as test leader. The main tasks include designing and planning battery tests, writing test scripts and supporting the execution of the tests, analyzing test results and writing reports. One test can be an electric performance test, another example is a test to evaluate new BMS algorithms and a third example can be a short circuit test. The role includes close cooperation within the team and with laboratory staff members as well as other test stakeholders. Together with your colleagues you have the possibility to influence the team's processes and deliveries.
