You like solving difficult business problems with data and analytics. You like working with state-of-the art technologies. And you like working with people. All the while you solve real problems for IKEA customers and co-workers.
You are an analytics practitioner with a background in data analysis, data engineering, data science or similar and experience in leading teams.
This leadership role will work with solving customer pains with data and analytics, joining a diverse team within Data & Analytics consisting of data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, ML engineers and data stewards based across Sweden, the Netherlands and Spain.
As a person, you are passionate about leading business, and building and developing a strong team of data analysts, engineers, scientists, and stewards. Ideally, you have experience working as a technical lead and/or as a people manager within the Data & Analytics space.
You are an expert when it comes to:
modern methods for extracting insights and making decisions based on data
relevant programming languages (such as Python), as well as industry usage of modern cloud platforms for data processing and analysis
digital product development, with strong appreciation for the importance of rapid validated learning cycles for optimising performance long term

Your past experiences include:
formal qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD) in computer science, econometrics, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
diverse professional experience in working with data and analytics
demonstrable experience working in Agile or DevOps communities of engineering practice
leading change in a large organization
building a team, recruiting and developing world-class team members

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Data & Analytics Leader, you will lead a world-class team, with direct responsibility for driving business value, as well as managing people processes, incl. ensuring the health and well-being of your team.
Data & Analytics for Customer Domain is embedded within Group Digital bringing together product managers, engineers, user experience and data & analytics.
The mission of the Customer Domain is to provide a convenient, inspiring, and fun shopping experience to the many customers of IKEA. IKEA generate massive amounts of data and unlocking the value from this data is the foundation for achieving the mission. Your role will include deriving insights into customer behaviour and preferences, delivering advanced analytics use cases and enabling others to get value from our data. You will be accountable for topics ranging from data, to distributed AI services, to insights, to customer-facing applications where ML/AI is embedded.
As part of a cross-functional leadership team, you will work collaboratively with Product, Tech, and UX Design leaders to inspire and empower product teams and ensure that we attain our desired business objectives (OKRs). In addition, you will work closely with key data and technology enablement units, incl. Data Architecture, to secure coherent, effective product development across the organisation.
As a leader for an area within the Customer you are responsible for:
ensuring the prioritisation of our “Data as a Product” agenda, in which teams are accountable for core datasets and their success measured against e.g., access and usability metrics
creating the right stand-alone AI services to empower co-workers and teams within the Domain and prevent us from reinventing the wheel
improving data-driven decision-making and actively bringing analytics into our product strategy work by focusing on Product Insights
identifying the right Data-Driven Experience teams, where machine learning and advanced analytics can be used to optimise performance for our customers
