Hej! My name is Stefan Esping and I’m leading the Data & Analytics capabilities in the Customer Support & Returns subdomain at IKEA. For our Digital hub in Malmö, we’re looking for a passionate Data & Analytics Manager. · Previous experience working as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst or Data Scientist, with experience with or interest in a Team Manager role.
· Passionate about managing a team of Data Engineers, Analysts and Scientists
· Passionate about using data as the starting point for understanding and solving (almost) any business problem
· Have a background in analytics, computer science, engineering or equivalent (at least MSc or equivalent)
· Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Go, Python, or Scala) as well as usage of modern cloud platforms (e.g. GCP) and ETL tools for data extraction, ingestion and processing
· Confident in digging into code and understanding how things are working, as well as using tools such as PowerBI to provide insights from data
· Knowledge of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning models.
· Broad knowledge of digital product development principles and collaborative software engineering practices (Agile, DevOps)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Data & Analytics Manager, you play a pivotal role in the design, development and operation of data-based digital products. You will lead and grow a world-class team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Data Scientists, with direct responsibility for driving business value, as well as managing people processes, incl. ensuring the health and well-being of your team.
Data & Analytics for Customer Support & Returns subdomain is embedded within Group Digital bringing together product management, engineering, user experience and data & analytics.
The mission of the Customer Support & Returns subdomain is to develop tools that makes the IKEA support experience convenient and enjoyable for customers and coworkers. IKEA generate massive amounts of data and unlocking the value from this data is the foundation for achieving the mission. Your role will include enabling this data to be accessible to those who needs it, deriving insights into customer behaviour and preferences, and delivering advanced analytics use cases. You will be accountable for topics ranging from data pipelines, enabling data sharing through Data Mesh, to provide business insights through the usage of advanced analytics.
As part of a cross-functional leadership team, you will work collaboratively with Product, Tech, and UX Design leaders to inspire and empower product teams and ensure that we attain our desired business objectives (OKRs). In addition, you will work closely with key data and technology enablement units, incl. Data Architecture, to secure coherent, effective product development across the organisation.
Together with your team and stakeholders, you refine product requirements and translate them to technical solutions. Herein, you adopt a value-first technology-second mindset, to ensure the team contributes to the company goals. You take responsibility for the technical refinement and delivery of sprint stories and epics, in collaboration with the Product Owner.
