Overview
The PI&E Infrastructure Data and Analytics team has an exciting opportunity to transform Infrastructure Planning & Optimization using analytics. We are seeking an exceptional analytics tech lead. This team applies quantitative and algorithmic techniques across a broad spectrum of problem sets that inform planning and operations for EA’s cloud & infrastructure. We work within a larger Infrastructure Optimization team to deliver innovative insights and solutions for our studio partners and other internal EA partners.

Qualifications
Degree in a field that emphasizes scientific thinking or equivalent experience in an analytical or quantitative role
At least 5+ years of professional experience in a data science or analytics-related role
Strong grasp of statistics and experience conducting rigorous data analyses
Excellent strategic project planning skillset (Jira, Asana)
Experience with data instrumentation via various approaches (client-side, server-side)
Experience with a scripting language (preferably Python) for data processing and analysis is a plus
Experience developing models and visualizations in Looker a plus
Communication skills, with experience communicating and summarizing results and findings for a non-technical audience, leveraging tools such as Python, R, or Tableau as appropriate to build effective visualizations
Experienced in experimentation design and execution
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines, balancing short & long term strategic implications to meet and/or exceed business objectives as well as manage a team of analyst
Ability to tell stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence, motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations
Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries to solve complex problems and apply data-driven decision-making principles


Preferred Qualification
Advanced degree in a quantitative field
Experience working with large structured or unstructured data
Strong people management skills leading teams for at least 3 years and growing data talent


How you will lead
Partner with development teams, Infrastructure team members, and the broader analytics teams to enable decision support and key customer insights in the infrastructure capacity management and infrastructure optimization spaces
Lead and mentor a team of analysts in delivering best in class analytics decision support and insights across Infrastructure Optimization practices
Nurture deep thought partnerships with business leaders to refine analytics strategies, prioritize workflows and roadmaps, define key metrics, and drive robust reporting to support informed decision making
Drive the execution of in-depth data analyses that lead to actionable insights, from ideation to execution to presentation of findings to stakeholders
Help develop the skill sets of individual analysts (data mining, data modeling, analytical methodologies, data visualization, presentation)
Continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team. Optimize and automate workflow processes and approaches to problem-solving
Collaborate effectively with Data Engineering to develop production ready data models and purpose built data pipelines
Collaborate directly with stakeholders and build an understanding of their business processes and goals to identify and propose opportunities to leverage data science & analytical methods. Ensure analytical solutions are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet the expectations of various stakeholders
Manage the full cycle of iterative big exploration, including hypothesis formulation, data generation and cleansing, testing, insight generation/visualization, and action planning
