Data Assessment and Golden Source Expert (GDMO)

Arbetsbeskrivning

Nordea is a leading Nordic universal bank. We are helping our customers realise their dreams and aspirations – and we have done that for 200 years. We want to make a real difference for our customers and the communities where we operate – by being a strong and personal financial partner.

Job ID: 16066

For the Data Change Support & Assessment team, within Group Data Management Office (GDMO), we are now looking for you with experience in the challenges of implementing world class data architecture and data governance, as well as enjoy to coach and inspire others.

You will play a valuable role both in the work to define and implement Golden Sources as well as the further development of the Data Adherence Committee (DAC) in Nordea – DAC was established by the Head of Group Business Support and Data & Technology Committee (DTC), being part of the highly prioritised work of moving Nordea into a truly data driven enterprise. The purpose of DAC is to pursue that data related changes in ongoing initiatives simplifies Nordea’s data landscape, rather than continuing to add complexity to it – or in other words “stop polluting the well."

The position we offer

As a Data Assessment Expert you will have key roles in the Data Change Support & Assessment team, in following up and supporting the plans for Golden Sources in a federated setup and in the DAC working group. The latter is a joint working group across GDMO and Group Architecture, assessing whether selected initiatives adhere to data architecture and data governance targets and requirements.
You will:
* Drive team tasks related to Golden Sources – namely support planning and monitor/report on progress and impediments.
* Assess if data-related changes and initiatives, to extent possible, drive towards our long-term data governance and data architectural targets.
* Collaborate with the initiatives on how to improve the data dimension in their solution.
* Contribute to other team tasks like Nordea’s Group-level Data Roadmap.
* Contribute to the Data Governance (and Data Architecture) discipline in the Nordea Group.
* Communicate to drive cultural change to influence people in Nordea to move in the strategic direction.

You will report to the Head of the Data Change Support & Assessments and work closely with other teams members. The position will be in Poland (Warsaw, Tri-City) or any of the four Nordic countries.
The qualifications you need
We are looking for you who are recognised as a high performer, acknowledged for your independent drive, and structured way of working. You are passionate about data, have a good understanding of information- and data architecture, understand the correlation between data quality and operational efficiency, and have strong analytical skills to identify impact and possible improvements in a complex data landscape. Experience working with data and data architecture in the financial industry would be expected.
You are comfortable in networking with the ability to collaborate with people in all parts of the organisation on different levels. You enjoy to work with people and to motivate others by understanding their perspective. In addition it is beneficiary if you:
* Have experience reading and interpreting enterprise / data architecture documents and capture the relevant topics from a data perspective.
* You are not afraid of being part of more technical discussions of data sharing between different applications and data stores.
* Have experience working with data from a business perspective.
* Have experience in programme/project management work and recognise the project phases / SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) approach.
* You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with data implementation / maintenance / governance and/or architecture related roles in the financial sector.

If you have experience in data governance processes and have a holistic view on data, both logical and technical levels, it will be considered as a clear advantage.
