‘Data’ is a new function within Volvo Digital & IT with the goal to unlock the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We will take care of all the aspects of Data, how it is quality assured, documented, made available, prepared, and consumed through BI, Analytics and Machine Learning. We have an ambitious transformation in front of us, with an implementation of the Data Layer in Azure as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group.
The ‘Data’ function is a large multi-cultural organization with 600+ employees and contractors located mainly in 7 countries - Sweden, Poland, India, Belgium, Brazil, USA, and France.
This is a Flexible position, and in this role, you will be joining as a Business Analyst in Göteborg (Sweden), Lyon (France), Gent (Belgium) or Wroclaw (Poland). Please mention the location while you apply.

Profile
As a Business Analyst in our team, you will engage with various teams and business stakeholders to identify needs, analyze business requirements, and help understand and map end-to-end data value chains. You will take the lead to define data solutions that best fit business requirements.
This requires knowledge and experience from Data Governance and Data Management, an analytical mindset, excellent structuring skills, as well as communication and stakeholder management skills, and a pragmatic can-do attitude to be part of and help drive the data transformation.
Responsibilities
Be part of Data Governance, Compliance & Security, Availability or Quality team working with frameworks, tools and ways of working related to Data Management for Volvo Group.
Lead, advise and support to stakeholders to gather and identify their needs and problems and what solution would best address them (e.g., facilitate workshops with Business and IT stakeholders).
Document the outcome of the analysis and share the results with relevant stakeholders.
Assist stakeholders build a roadmap of the data governance and management, implement valuable pieces of work in a logical sequence, and ensure that they can get value at each implementation.
Work closely with core business representatives, UI/UX experts, Architects to understand expectations and work towards making the transformations as seamless as possible for the business.
Guardian of the value proposition in every aspect of the Agile delivery process.
Maintain an efficient relationship with all stakeholders of digital projects and products.
Promote the use of data governance and data management enablers and strategic partnerships to maximize value creation.
Describe and document data lifecycles, data flows, business processes and end-to-end value chains.
Define and implement KPI to follow up the data governance and data management progress.
Document the outcome of the analysis and share the results with relevant stakeholders.
Become an expert on one or more data governance and management area, to draw conclusions and to provide answers to business stakeholders questions. Provide functional support and expertise to your colleagues.
Required Competence
Minimum 2 years’ experience of working as a Business Analyst, preferably within the data area.
Documented experience and implementation track record from data governance & data management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong structuring and organizing skills.
Ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations in verbal, written, and presentation formats using storytelling and logical arguments.
Insights and knowledge from the Customer, Partner and/or Product domains are an advantage.
Automotive Industry experience is favorable.
Experience of working in an agile set-up, using DevOps or similar.
A good understanding of both business and IT.
Proficiency in English which enables you to take part in international projects.
A university degree together with passion and knowledge towards data.
