Data conversion expert (GIS, FME)

The consultant will be based in Stockholm. Fluent in Swedish.

IMPLEMENTATION (SCOPE OF PROJECT/ASSIGNMENT).
The resource will act as a data conversion expert in project SPAN .
The assignment involves developing data models in FME (from the system IGS -T to the GIS-system SPAN) .
The following areas are included in the work:
? Inventory of information and assessment of what data should be converted (in cooperation with Skanova co-workers).
? Develop a model for data conversion based on FME .
? Check the dgn files that have changed and decipher (extract) these from IGS -T (Master data system).
? Interpret and translate attribute values according to business needs. Support the business co-workers when developing the mapping table needed in the FME-work.
? Put together the items that are the same type of complex net objects .
? Interpret texts in CAD files and link them to the nearest net objects .
? Transform data from the local coordinate system , such as ST74 , to the unified central coordinate SWEREF99TM
? Ensure that the converted data is loaded into the SPAN geodatabase using agreed data model.
? Develop map templates that manage the cartography and the map layout . Cartography is developed in close cooperation with the business in such a way that it is adapted to business needs .

The details of this work will be developed within the project and the work will be conducted in close collaboration with the business, project manager and system architect . Data conversion is one of three sub-projects within the overall project .
The consultant will be included in a data conversion team ( scrum team ) at Skanova premises.

REQUIREMENT:
? Proven experience in the GIS field with focus on data conversion .
? Proven experience of running/managing data conversion work.
? Proven experience in data conversion of management information using FME Workbench and FME Server , preferably in Telecom otherwise Electricity, Gas or VA .
? At least 3 years of experience working with FME tool for data conversion .
? At least 5 reference projects each exceeding three months which transformed CAD data into spatial database .
? At least 2 years experience in Agile and Scrum .
? Must have experience creating and editing map templates that control the cartography for the presentation of data in a map.
? Expected level of education : Good knowledge in geographic information systems , coordinate systems and data conversion . Academic level of technical surveyors (Teknisk lantmätare) .
