Let’s make a difference in finance for the many people

As a Data Engineer at Ikano Bank you will join a team of highly motivated and experienced colleagues responsible for the bank’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) including development of the EDW and data quality assurance. The wider team is also responsible for data governance, development of regulatory authority reporting and delivery of business intelligence solutions.

In your assignments as Data Engineer you will be working in a SAFe set up together with the wider Digital team and business counterparts. In your daily work you will utilize Informatica tools as Power Center, Data Quality and Metadata manager to develop and quality assure complex solutions. The scope of ETL design and development includes data extraction from heterogeneous data sources, data cleansing, database loading and support to meet the needs of the business. In this job we offer you the opportunity to work in a complex and stimulating environment, learn more about and work with master-data management, as well as with meta-data and reference-data management. On our future roadmap we see us moving towards cloud technology and data lake implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop our common information platform based on Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle
• Design a secure and reliable work-flow for staging, cleansing and loading with high performance
• In collaboration with business stakeholders define and populate data marts with data for use with BI solutions like Qlik and Axiom
• Identify, implement and support data quality routines
• Collaborate closely with BI developers, Data Governance and Information Architect
• Utilize metadata manager and business glossary to ensure linage and use of common definitions and terminology.
• Explore and develop an understanding for the technology landscape of the data delivery area.

Professional skills:

• Experience with databases and data modelling is required
• Experience working with an ETL tool is a requirement, preferably Informatica Power Center
• Experience with data quality and handling quality issues is a requirement
• Experience from the banking sector is a plus
• Experience working in SAFe/agile teams is a plus
• Experience with ETL tools on cloud platforms is a plus
• Experience with Data Lake concepts and implementation is a plus

Competencies:

• Fluent in English
• Ability to understand business needs and translate into technical terms and solutions
• Strong will to learn both technical solutions and tools as well as our business
• Ability to work as part of an agile team

Education:

Bachelor or Master in Computer Engineering or Informatics or comparable education and/or experience
