Data Engineer

Starbreeze is looking for a Data Engineer with experience in cloud technologies to join our Game Insight team with a goal of understanding our players and improving their experience within our products.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing complex transformation processes with an emphasis on reliability and performance. The candidate will work closely with analytics and business units in order to make sure that the data is enriched and available.

Job Tasks:

- ETL development - ownership of data transformation throughout the pipeline.
- Warehouse Design and Development - collaborate with analysts and business units in order to make sure that they receive data in a desired format and at a desired speed.
- Continuous optimization of data pipeline.
- Assist in the development of deployment automation.
- Deliver near-real time data for the purpose of fast insight generation.


Must Have:

- 5+ years of work experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and Business Intelligence big data architectures.
- Expert in at least one SQL language.
- Experience developing and managing data warehouses on a terabyte or petabyte scale.
- Experience with Python and shell scripting.
- Deep understanding of advanced data warehousing concepts and track record of applying these concepts on the job.
- Ability to manage numerous requests concurrently and strategically, prioritizing when necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Dynamic team player.


Good to have:

- Experience with Amazon Redshift or Snowflake
- Experience with Tableau administration.
- Experience in implementing a Machine Learning pipeline.
- Experience in Real-Time Analytics applications.
- Knowledge of the Video Game Industry and video games.
