Data Engineer

If you are a person who has a great interest, knowledge and experience within data engineering and data architecture, you are the one we are looking for.

Your role

You will be a member of the expert team for Idustry 4 Center of Excellence and help our business areas in defining I4 use cases. You will work with Strategy and technology/application selection in accordance to the I4 reference architecture. Implement I4 capabilities within the Operational Technology Layer and Analytics such as Data Lake(s). You will also Design and implement data models.

The main tasks are:

* Translating Saab business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
* Defining the data architecture framework, standards and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data such as product codes and client categories, and master data such as clients, vendors, materials, and employees.
* Defining reference architecture, which is a pattern that others can follow to create and improve data systems.
* Defining data flows, i.e., which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition.
* Collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.

Your profile

To thrive in this role, you have great communication skills where you are used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other stakeholders. You like to take initiative and are comfortable working independently.

Required skills:

* Bachelor degree or higher within information technology, computer science or computer engineering.
* Minimum five years of relevant experience within data engineering and data architecture
* Experience of design models of data processing that implement the intended business model
* Experience in developing diagrams representing key data entities and their relationships.
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written

Desired skills:

* Experience from Industry 4.0
* Experience in AI

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Your location can be flexible but travelling between Saab locations in Sweden will be required.
