Main responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining and further developing the data pipeline for the Data Insight Teams and its stakeholders. Business needs and analytical initiatives will be transformed into creating different data models and developing the data warehouse solution. You will provide your team members with the necessary knowledge and support so that they can use the data warehouse and assist other stakeholders on how to use different data.
Additionally, you will join a fast moving and innovative team with an entrepreneurial spirit and a mission to inspire users to take data driven actions and to enhance user engagement and experience. As a Data Engineer, you will for instance:
• Have an overall responsibility to develop, structure and optimize our data pipelines (CDC+API:s), ETL processes (Matillion) and data warehouse (Snowflake + AWS)
• Work together with the business to ensure that we understand and provide the correct data to our end users
• Establish monitor routines to ensure accurate data updates and notifications on fails and possible errors
• Maintain and further expand our external Snowflake API
This is what we are looking for
As our new Data Engineer, we would like to see that you have some working experience in a similar role where both development of data pipelines and communicating with stakeholders were a part of your everyday work tasks. We see that you are self-sufficient in your work and do not hesitate to take the initiative whenever you see an opportunity for improvements. You are not afraid to challenge or influence business stakeholders to have a more data oriented approach to their objectives and how to think analytically. We also see that you possess strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to detect small errors while still focusing on the main objective.
To succeed in this role, we also see that you have:
• Relevant educational background within Data Management, Data Engineering or Data Science
• Excellent SQL knowledge and good programming skills, preferably in Python
• A sound business acronym and strong data literacy skill
• Fluent knowledge in English, both orally and in writing
