Data Engineer

At Carla we believe that more people should be able to drive electric. Therefore, we have set out to build the safest, most convenient and transparent way to sell, buy, or lease an electric car. Carla was founded in 2020 in Stockholm, with strong VC backing. We are now in an exciting growth phase and we're looking to hire people who have that magical mix of being great at what they do, show a strong drive, can obsess over consumer centricity, whilst being humble and eager to learn.

We’re now specifically looking for Carlas first Data Engineer to help build our dashboards, datasets and data pipelines, all crucial components to aid our continued growth and success! You’ll join a multidisciplinary tech team, and act as a contact person to the people in our company in need of useful insights to make better decisions.

You'll have a key influence in establishing our data platform, toolset, and help grow the data engineering team over time.



Your responsibilities

- Create and maintain data pipelines and tooling
- Identify areas where we can improve data quality and efficiency
- Take ownership of data infrastructure
- Build analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into user behaviour


Your qualifications:

- Good communication skills; able to talk to non-technical business stakeholders as well as participate in tech discussions with the tech team
- Data visualisation interest and curiosity; take ownership of our dashboards in Google Data Studio, find new opportunities, respond to needs from the business
- Comfortable querying and building new datasets, in particular working with SQL
- Experience with one or several programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Golang
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and best practices
