The Data Engineer will be a proactive person working together with IT and the business on designing, developing, and deploying analytical and reporting capabilities.


Responsibilities:
Design, build, enhance, and maintain Power BI and Azure SQL DB reports and dashboards working from specification documents and/or direct interaction with business users
Write efficient SQL Server queries and stored procedures to populate reporting datasets
Review and provide feedback to other developers on the Data Warehouse team, with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, and design
Help us to simplify our tools for Europe and global solutions, propose new ideas
Decipher existing reports and database processes to assist users, Systems Analysts, and Data Stewards in understanding reports
Foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management
Participate in special projects as needed



Qualifications:
Working experience with MS DW / BI stack as a developer
Good understanding of DW architecture and data modeling
Proficient in SQL including joins, inserts, updates, deletes, conditional logic, subqueries, temp tables, and complex data transformation functions
Working knowledge of Azure SQL DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services
Experience using a reporting platform to build graphs and charts communicating business information required. PowerBI and SSRS preferred
Experience with other Microsoft data products (PowerApps, SSAS, SSIS, Sharepoint Workflows, Data Factory, Polybase, PowerShell, etc) is a plus
Experience in SAP is a plus.
