We now have a great opportunity for a Data Engineer to our group Data & Analytics team in Stockholm. I am Hassan Shahbaz, the leader of our team of Data Engineers, and I am looking for a skilled Data Engineer to contribute to us building awesome analytical products for customers across all countries of Telia Company.

At Telia Company, you will have a key role in our group common Data & Analytics team and support us to create true business value through data and analytics and make Telia Company a more data-driven organization. We aim to shorten time to insight and build even more amazing data products. This is where we need your help.
Our team consists of data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, solution architects and product owners, working together in different cross-functional, domain-oriented agile DevOps teams building analytical solutions to for example TV & Media, Crowd Insights, Telia Finance, Connectivity or Networks.
The challenge
Develop batch and real-time data pipelines that are optimized for analytics, visualization or reporting.
Design and develop automated test cases of data pipelines to support test driven development
Ensure our data pipelines are flexible, high performing, secure and robust.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve lead times and increase efficiency for development, testing and deployment of data pipelines, for example through automation
Contribute to development of design standards and best practices, including our shared repository of reusable data pipeline components and templates.

Your Experience:
Hands-on experience in back-end software development with Scala, Python, Java or any other relevant language
Solid knowledge in software architecture and design
Experience in agile workflow and software development life-cycle
Significant knowledge in DevOps and hands-on experience from operations
Up to date in software engineering technologies and industry best practices



Good to have but not mandatory: 
Experience working with cloud technologies and relational databases 
Experience in SQL 
Experience in big data or parallel processing solutions 
Masters Degree in Computer Science or similar field
