We are now looking for a Data Engineer. You will be responsible for setting up the strategy for the whole tech organization, making sure technology enables the Product, but also defining the tech foundation for all the departments such as Sales, Marketing and Finance. You will help shape the tech direction of the engineering teams, making sure they work with the right technologies and doing the right thing!

Are you our next hire?
As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for every step of the data process, from managing data to analyzing it. You will be working alongside data scientists to help make use of the data they collect, and also working with data warehouses across multiple databases and responsible for developing table schemas.
Your main responsibilities will be managing and organizing data, while keeping an eye out for trends or inconsistencies that will impact business goals. The need for soft skills is also important and that is to communicate data trends to others in the organization and to help the business make use of the data it collects.
What you will do at Data Talks:
Analyze and organize raw data
Build data systems and pipelines
Evaluate business needs and objectives
Interpret trends and patterns
Conduct raw data analysis and report on results
Prepare data for ingestion
Combine raw information from different sources
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
Identify opportunities for data acquisition
Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
To succeed in this role, we’re hoping that you have:
Have 2+ years of relevant experience
Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
Knowledge of technologies such as Scala, Python, Spark, Kafka, Snowpipe, Javascript
Technical expertise with data models (Kimball’s dimensional Modelling)
Hands-on experience with SQL database design
Great numerical and analytical skills
Curiosity in data, data governance, data models, data warehouse and data insights.
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master’s is a plus.
