Data Engineer

About the role 
As a Data Engineer at Keolis, you will have a key role in our tech department and the development of our new Data team. We have just started building our data warehouse and data lake and we now have an execiting journey ahead of us, where you will set the roadmaps for how we will work with data at Keolis. You will be an important leader and a valuable support between both IT and the business to identify the need for data and our way towards a modern data driven organization. As a Data Engineer you will ensure the quality and valuate our data sources and be a part of migrating data to Azure. 
As the work with advanced data analysis is in the start-up phase, you would be able to use all your experience and ideas to help us establish this new department. In the role of Data Engineer, you are responsible for building the analysis environments that will be used for machine learning and advanced analysis. You set up ETL processes, build our Data Lake and and identify our data sources. You will also work with our Data Goverence and Data modelling. Our data comes from several different business areas, everything from internal systems to live stream data from our buses. As the team's capabilities grow, so will the applications and new data sources become relevant. 
Who are you?
To succeed in this role you have to work independently but appreciate being surrounded by knowledgeable colleagues and have an extraordinary ability to work together. We also believe that you are used to working with data in a Microsoft environment and have experience of retrieving data from different systems. You are also communicatively skilled and have an easy time switching between a holistic and a detailed perspective.  
To succeed in this role we see that you have: 

A few years' relevant work experience in a similar role 

Experience of working with Microsoft products such as Azure, Azure synapse. 

Experience of workning with cloud platforms. 

Experience of programming languages such as R, Pyhton and  

Experience of SQL databases. 

Relevant higher education. 

Interest and drive to develop both organizations and working methods. 

Excellent ability to express yourself in English and preferally Swedish as well.
