About the position
As a Data Engineer you will be part of the Electro Magnetic Materials (EMM) team and report to the Manager of Application Development. The EMM function is responsible for making Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC) an industry standard for future electrical vehicles and enable SMC market penetration by development of new materials.
As a Data Engineer within EMM, your responsibilities will be to:
• Maintain and further develop IT and analysis tools for EMMs daily activities
• Focus on supporting the EMM line activities through effective use of IT solutions and tools
• Support in data analysis of process development data, so the decision in the process are data based
• Actively scout for new IT techniques that helps and improves the EMM businesses
• Proactively work with continuous improvement, so the activities can become more efficient and automized
The position is located in Höganäs, Sweden, and travel may occurs in the position.
Your profile
We are looking for you who has a relevant university or college degree within systems science, computer technology or equivalent.
You have an independent and curious personality with focus on learning new skills. You like to work in an agile way and be flexible to support the team with day-to-day problems, while developing a long-term strategy for the IT tools. As a person you are a good listener, who can translate business needs into technical solutions and implement it. You are comfortable with communicating in an international setting, and is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
It is meriting, but not a requirement, if you have experience and good knowledge of:
• Data analysis tools like: Power BI, Minitab, QlikSense
• Database knowledge like: SQL and relational data bases
• Python – or other programming languages
• Power Apps and Power Automate
• Excel - VBA scripting
• Swedish language skills
