Job summary
The Data Science team at Combine works with clients from a wide range of industries and sectors. The projects vary from supporting the customer's first steps into connectivity and IoT to create Machine Learning models on large data sets. Common for all projects is that data is central and needs to be handled in the most efficient way. This is why the Data/Cloud Engineer becomes a crucial part of all projects. Your tasks will be to solve all data-related questions, regardless if it is to implement solutions in our big data framework running on our powerful computational server or if it is to specify the most suitable database implementation in a cloud solution. Good proficiency with tools and frameworks around containers, such as Kubernetes, will also be valuable in this role.
Data nowadays can be found on all kinds of formats and be stored in different ways. It can be streaming or offline. The needs of a client may have been satisfied by optimising how your programs process the data, they may have pushed the envelope of what can be accomplished by CPUs, possibly making this engineer look into GPUs. This engineer is responsible for providing quality data over which data analysis and data science can be applied.
