Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our exciting journey.


What You’ll Do
You will be a team member in one of the agile product teams, the work will involve an agile cycle of identification of needs and potential solutions, and prototyping, implementation/sourcing, and maintenance of different parts of the platform. In this process, you will be working with a range of competent engineers, specialists, and strategists from throughout the company, where you will be able to both teach and learn. You will also be expected to be an expert and pro-actively stay updated on the state-of-the-art in technologies and best practices within the field of data engineering.
In addition to having a key role in platform creation, you will be participating in concrete value-creating projects, where you will be contributing with best practices, architecture, and hands-on development

Your Skills
Technical skills - You have excellent implementation skills (high-level and low-level languages) and experience in prototyping, specifying, and implementing analytical ecosystems and/or logical data warehouses, including (big) data architecture, such as data lakes, streaming data analytics, etc., and full-stack analytics capabilities.

We believe you are experienced with systems for handling data of various forms and representations, including unstructured and structured, relational and distributed big data; streaming and persisted; store, query and analyze. You have worked with the agile prototype was driven development of products and/or services and in developing Big Data pipelines and with real-time streaming pipelines using Kafka or similar and development using MS Azure Services: Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Functions, etc. You also preferably have experience and/or knowledge in Snowflake.

You also have experience in GIT, high-performance databases, GPU computing, REST, Linux Knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Hadoop environments, and working with DevOps pipelines (i.e. Azure DevOps, CI/CD and/or GitOps) and Containerized solutions (e.g. Docker / Kubernetes).

We also think that you may have experience with all or most of the following; Python, Flask, Shiny, Jupyter Hub, Spark, Scala, Neo4j, H2O, Tensor Flow.
