As a Data Engineer on our BI team, you'll play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and optimizing the backend systems that power our analytics capabilities, driving innovation and enabling Oatly to make informed decisions.

You will design, build, and maintain secure and compliant data infrastructure that ensures smooth and efficient data flow across the organization. Your focus will be on optimizing data pipelines, managing large datasets, and maintaining data integrity, while also implementing best practices in data management. Here’s what you would do:
· Design, build, and maintain secure data pipelines and infrastructure using Cloud and BI best practices to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient data flow across the organization. You'll leverage tools like Databricks, dbt, and Azure to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
· Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support a modern DevOps environment, enhancing team productivity and fostering continuous improvement.
· Shape and model the data warehouse, ensuring data is structured, accessible, and valuable for driving better business decisions and uncovering new opportunities.
· Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including BI developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, to deliver innovative and scalable solutions that meet the needs of the business and beyond.

Are you the Oatsome person we are looking for?
· A Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, or something related – cool if you've got it.
· Experience as a Data Engineer (or a similar role) with at least 3 years in data analytics or data science.
· In-depth knowledge of SQL required for designing and implementing database solutions
· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure for data engineering responsibilities, including data storage, processing, and security.
· A strong interest in data architecture, data governance, big data, data modeling, and data warehousing, along with the ability to connect with and contribute to BI development.
· A passion for working with data, whether it's fast data, big data, or exploring new data-driven opportunities.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Now, here's where you can really shine (though not a deal-breaker):
· Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, DevOps, DBT & Databricks—consolidating your expertise across the stack.
· Familiarity with modern data transformation practices, including automated testing, version control (GIT), and CI/CD pipelines, to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
· Experience in developing data catalogs and implementing self-service BI solutions like Power BI, with a keen understanding of how to integrate these into larger data ecosystems.
· Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language to contribute across the tech stack.
· Hands-on experience working with Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM, BICEP, Terraform or similar.
· General knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on Power Automate, to support automated workflows and enhance data processes
