Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are looking for an experienced Data engineer / developer to strengthen our team to create valuable and easily consumable information from operational data and enabling more accessible analytics.
You will be working as part of an agile team, which is responsible for the complete process from requirement handling to production and maintenance.
Autonomous vehicle development at Scania is advancing at a very high pace and self-driving trucks and buses on public roads will soon see the light of day. Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research at Scania is responsible for developing, testing and piloting future autonomous concepts. This work is done using agile and self-steered teams with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies and prepare these for industrialization.
Your work assignment
Your task is to build the platform to be able to connect and transform data from Scania’s autonomous vehicle and other data sources. We want you to interact with stakeholders and aid them in the self-service data driven journey.
You will design powerful data pipelines that process fast sensor streams, leverage appropriate data stores, and offer easy-to-use APIs as well as develop and deploy high-quality software using modern tooling and frameworks.
This is a great opportunity to participate in developing the new logging solution which must meet the upcoming demands from Big data handling and Machine Learning.

To succeed in our team, we wish that you have:
• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• At least 2 years working with Cloud environment (AWS) for big data handling experience
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python)
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field alternative equivalent work experience
• AWS certifications are a high plus
