Job Description
You'll be powering Relay.
As Data engineer you'll join an open and sharing community with highly skilled colleagues.
Your key tasks and responsibilities are:
Help create the payment services data strategy and architecture for our data platform on Azure Cloud
Design data models for consumption by data scientists and business analysts.
Create, build, and maintain data pipelines to ingest and transform large volumes of payments data into datasets to support business-critical functions.
Work directly with data scientists to understand and provide the data and tools they need

Your qualifications include:
Experience working in a cloud environment, Azure is preferred but not required.
Experience writing pipelines using a distributing processing framework such as Spark, Flink, or Beam (Dataflow).
A general knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
General knowledge ETL/ELT pipeline management, scheduling, and orchestration using e.g. Airflow, Azure Synapse, or similar.
Fluency in English both verbal and written



And while it is not required, we would be happy if you have:
Experience in the payments industry
Experience using, designing, or managing any data warehouse technologies.
Experience using no-SQL databases (e.g.key-value stores, document storage). CosmosDB knowledge is especially valuable.
Experience with message-based architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar.
Experience data governance management, e.g. access control, data classification
