All members of the Robotics Product Management team work together to develop and market the world’s best robotic lawn mowers and you will play an important role in that journey!
About the job
As Data Engineer Robotics your main responsibility is to build and maintain big data systems and construct datasets that are easy to analyze and support company requirements for Husqvarna’s robotics lawn mower category. You will implement methods to improve data reliability and quality as well as combine raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats. The Data Engineer Robotics shall develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modelling.
As part of the job, you will work closely with both the other members of the Robotics Product Management team as well as with the Robotics R&D team to prioritize the focus areas of work and the insight creation and presentation of the information.
The main tasks and responsibilities for the Data Engineer Robotics include:
Analyzing raw data
Improving data quality and efficiency
Maintenance and support of the big data services
Setting up new ingestion streams into the data lake
Dealing with big data related support issues
Perform analytics on incoming ad hoc issues
Responsible for developing and taking ownership of the ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) pipelines
The product management team is expected to support a wide variety of tasks within the Husqvarna division, which means that you also need to be agile and can adapt and overcome complex and challenging tasks outside of the normal standard processes and daily tasks.
Relevant Background
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering with strong technical skills
Good presentation skills – both in person and in writing
Good knowledge in the MS office package (Excel & PowerPoint)
Fluent English both orally and in writing is required for the position
Who are you?
We believe that you have strong technical skills and understanding and have a problem-solving attitude. You have minimum 3-5 year work experience – experience in machine learning and/or data analytics is a merit. To succeed in this role it is important that you have good communication & presentation skills – both in person as well as in writing.
You will meet a lot of people from different cultures, so it is important that you enjoy interacting with people.
It is also of importance that you have the ability to prioritize and have good structure as well as a can-do attitude. You should be a driven team player with a strong sense of business ownership and a desire to continuously improve. You like new challenges and are used to work under high pressure.
Your personality in combination with relevant education and technical knowledge will be of importance in this role.
Location
Placement in Huskvarna, Stockholm, or Gothenburg, Sweden, or other relevant sites within the Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division. We apply a hybrid work model with good flexibility in terms of work location.
This position includes travel mainly in Europe of approximately 15-20 days/year.
