Assignment Description:
We are recruiting a Data Engineer to enable a hassle-free consumer experience and drive loyalty by delivering a personal, sustainable and safe service experience through high quality and cost-efficient premium service operations.
What you'll do:
● Development of business backend system for data driven decision of predictive capabilities.
● Build innovative products for predictive capabilities, with data and machine learning, and you will support our advanced analytics needs, inform business strategy through data-driven insights.
● Understand complex business challenges, develop hypotheses, integrate internal and external data sets, analyse them, and effectively communicate your findings.
● Work in close collaboration with data engineers, data scientists, product- and business- owners, developers and architects in the development of products and platforms.
● Building solutions and on maintaining, optimizing and improving a client’s applications and systems.
● Responsible for unit testing, contribute to integration testing, and/or be responsible for the design and delivery of end-user training.
● Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve data quality and be an active member of the Engineering community and collaborate with other Engineers across the cluster.
● Increase developer productivity by building innovative tools that reduce maintenance overhead of working with data pipelines and help increase platform reliability.
● Advocate and advance modern, agile software development and help develop and foster good engineering practices.
● Help ensure the solutions are scalable, sustainable, architecturally sound, and technical debt is both incurred consciously and repaid in a reasonable time.
● Demonstrate and champion an appetite for knowledge and never stop developing as a Data Engineer.
Who you are:
● Possess Master of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering Physics or similar.
● Proficiency in programming using data scientist toolkits, such as R, Python, Scala and SAS, and in using query languages such as SQL.
● Excellent skills in analysing, structuring, implementing and store large data sets. You also have knowledge in statistics, optimization and algorithms.
● Experience applying various machine learning techniques and understanding the key parameters that affect their performance is required.
● Documented working experience with data science and data analysis is considered beneficial as well as basic knowledge in development of simulation environments or test methods.
● Highly motivated, creative and curious person, with a strong analytical, scientific and strategic mind-set, who has several years of experience in working with large data set.
