Assignment Description:
We are recruiting a Data Engineer to lay the foundation of data ownership by implementing the principles of Data Mesh. We are in the initial stages of this exciting journey with the aim to shift our ways of working with data towards the concept of data products.
What you'll do:
● Enable the business to reach the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves by ensuring the data is available in a fast, reliable, and high-quality fashion.
● Work by building source-aligned data and consumer-aligned data products, and solving problems and delivering values directly to the business.
● Collaborating with the Data central team to build and improve the data platform capabilities for the entire data community
● Exploring the concept of Data Products, amd solving some of data related problems with Access Management, CI&CD, GDPR, PII Management, Data Catalog, etc.
● Developing solutions for proactive customer interactions aiming to; increase service penetration & customer loyalty and improve workshop effectiveness & efficiency.
● Work with development of business backend system for data driven decision of predictive capabilities.
● Build innovative products for predictive capabilities, with data and machine learning, and you will support our advanced analytics needs, inform business strategy through data-driven insights.
● Understand complex business challenges, develop hypotheses, integrate internal and external data sets, analyse them and effectively communicate your findings.
● Work in close collaboration with data engineers, data scientists, product- and business- owners, developers and architects in the development of products and platforms.
Who you are:
● Candidate should be Mid-level, with Azure skills preferred to speed up the onboarding time but not limited to Azure.
● Technical experience with Data Factory, Data Flow, Synapse/Databricks, Spark, DevOps experience with Terraform, and experience with Snowflake is a plus
● Hold a Master of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering Physics or similar.
● Proficiency in programming using data scientist toolkits, such as R, Python, Scala and SAS, and in using query languages such as SQL.
● Have excellent skills in analysing, structuring, implementing and store large data sets, statistics, optimization and algorithms.
● Possess experience applying various machine learning techniques and understanding the key parameters that affect their performance is required.
